Robin leads Baker Richards, a specialist cultural consultancy which has worked with more than 750 organisations worldwide to transform their earned income strategies. He is a regular speaker at cultural conferences, and media commentator on cultural resilience.
Robin created the Cultural Enterprises Academy, and was previously Deputy Executive Director of the Mercury Theatre, a University Director, and Marketing Director of a global education qualification.
Robin is a course tutor and mentor.

Sarah has a wealth of experience in executive leadership, strategic marketing, and audience development and was previously Chief Executive at Hijinx, one of Europe’s leading inclusive theatre companies. Alongside experience in theatre, Sarah’s background includes roles within the classical sector at BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales, BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Sarah Gee
Chief Executive, Spitalfields Music
Sarah Gee has been Chief Executive of Spitalfields Music since 2019, and was previously a trustee between 2008 and 2014. She co-founded Indigo-Ltd, an arts management consultancy, in 2007, running it for 14 years following a similar period in marketing & fundraising for orchestras in London and Birmingham. Â She still works as a consultant on a discrete number of projects alongside her part-time Spitz role.
Sarah grew up near Glasgow, and trained as a hornplayer. She can still be found at the back of orchestras, trying not to split notes.
Adrian Jackson
CEO & Artistic Director, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
Guest Speaker. Originally trained as a classical orchestral conductor, he later specialised in theatre musical direction, supervision and orchestral arranging.
Since March 2015, Adrian has been the Chief Executive & Artistic Director of Wolverhampton Grand Theatre, dedicating significant energy to developing the artistic vision of the theatre. He has also formed a new production company which will allow the Grand to produce bespoke theatre for Wolverhampton and beyond.
Adrian developed a very keen interest in arts management, business and finance and has considerable experience in the commercial development of theatres. He was pivotal in taking the Garrick Theatre, Lichfield from local authority control to independent charitable status.
He is regularly invited as a guest speaker at local and national arts seminars and conferences.
Zak Mensah
Co-CEO Birmingham Museums Trust
Zak Mensah, alongside Sara Wajid, was appointed as Co-CEO of Birmingham Museums Trust in 2020, a role they share. Prior to this Zak was Head of Digital, and Head of Transformation at Bristol Museums where he led the introduction of a pioneering e-commerce service.
Zak likes to help people to make a ruckus and make positive change happen.

Guest speaker. Sarah is the communications and special projects Director at Bristol Beacon, an organisation that has been dealing with an issue at the front line of inclusion and diversity.
Run by Bristol Music Trust, Bristol Beacon is the South West’s largest concert hall. Their education and engagement programme, especially with musicians who have special educational needs and disabilities, is a National exemplar. Sarah will share the experience of the Beacon’s reopening and relaunch with Uplift Earned Income delegates.
