Debbie Richards is co-founder of Baker Richards. As a consultant she specialises in helping arts organisations make informed decisions when shaping their marketing and pricing strategy, enabling them to realise their financial potential. She has a proven track record in delivering increases in earned income for clients. Her extensive consulting experience, dating back to 2002, covers work in North America, Australasia and Continental Europe, as well as the UK. She leads on many of the company’s pricing projects, as well as developing and expanding the company’s work in pricing and behavioural economics. Her work also includes consultative studies and primary research and she recently led the company’s partnership with WolfBrown in delivering a year-long pilot study of the intrinsic impacts of arts events for the Liverpool Arts Regeneration Consortium.
Prior to her consulting career Debbie worked in marketing for both an arts centre and a mid-scale touring theatre company, and as Producer at Creation Theatre Company in Oxford. She also served four years as a Board member of the Arts Marketing Association. She regularly delivers training for both industry bodies and arts management courses, including regular guest lectures for Anglia Ruskin University’s MA in Arts Management. Her degree is in English Language & Literature from the University of Oxford.
